Staying Safe

Safety on Relumos

Relumos is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all users. This guide outlines resources and best practices to help you stay safe on our platform.

Sharing Photos Safely

  • Think Before You Share: Never share nude or sexually explicit photos or videos with anyone, even someone you trust. Sharing explicit content of minors is illegal and can have serious consequences.
  • Responding to Requests: If someone asks you for nude or sexual images, you can simply say, "No. It's not allowed on Relumos." If they persist, tell them you're uncomfortable, block them, and report them to Relumos.
  • Threats and Intimidation: If anyone threatens or intimidates you to share photos or videos, refuse, tell a trusted adult, and contact the police if necessary. Block and report the person on Relumos.
  • Privacy Settings: Be aware of your privacy settings and who can see your posts and personal information. Only accept followers you know well outside of Relumos.

Handling Threats to Share Private Images

If someone threatens to share private images or information and demands money or other favors:

  • Contact Law Enforcement: Report on the threat to your local police.
  • Report to Relumos: Use our reporting tools to report the person to us.
  • Block the Person: Block them on Relumos to prevent further contact.

  • Victim Advocates: Seek help from a victim advocate or social worker who can provide support and legal advice.
  • Legal Aid: Contact a legal aid organization for free legal advice.
  • School Counselors: Talk to a school counselor or administrator for assistance.
